Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Meadowbrook Christian's Third in Last Four Outings

Meadowbrook Christian won the last time they faced Montgomery, and Madalyn Fasnacht did her part to make sure it happened again. Meadowbrook Christian walked away with a 33-20 win over the Montgomery Red Raiders on Saturday thanks in part to Fasnacht, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Meadowbrook Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Millett, who posted four points and six steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Meadowbrook Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.5 points per game. As for Montgomery, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Meadowbrook Christian will square off against South Williamsport at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Montgomery, they are taking a road trip to take on Bucktail at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
