Basketball Game Preview: Weber Warriors vs. Viewmont Vikings

The Weber Warriors will challenge the Viewmont Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Weber is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight games dating back to last season on Tuesday. They took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roy.

Meanwhile, Viewmont lost to Farmington on the road by a 67-52 margin on Tuesday. The Vikings were down 52-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Weber will have to keep a close watch on Carson Tovey and Tyson Bromley, a pair of players who had a big impact on Viewmont's prior game. Tovey went 7-for-17 to rack up 19 points in addition to five steals and three blocks, while Bromley shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and three steals. Jake Larsen was another key player, putting up nine points.

Weber's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Viewmont, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Weber didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Viewmont in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 59-54 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Vikings' Drezdon Jensen, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 25 points along with six boards and three steals.
