Basketball Recap: Gompers Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Gompers Prep Academy lost against Mountain Empire back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gompers Prep Academy Eagles fell 29-22 to the Mountain Empire Redhawks.

Leading Mountain Empire to victory were Carli McGhee and Bibi Caceres. McGhee posted 12 points, while Caceres had 11 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Caceres has scored at least a third of Mountain Empire's points.

Gompers Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mountain Empire, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Gompers Prep Academy will take on San Diego Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Empire, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain Empire's defense has only allowed 20.6 points per game this season, so High Tech CV's offense will have their work cut out for them.
