Lumpkin County lost to Gilmer on August 2nd, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Indians walked away with an 8-4 win over the Bobcats.

Lumpkin County's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Gilmer, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Lumpkin County will challenge North Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 2.7, the Trojans 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Gilmer, they will head out to face off against Calhoun at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
