Basketball Game Preview: Mendota Aztecs vs. Torres Toros

The Mendota Aztecs and the Torres Toros will face off at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Mendota sitting on six straight wins and Torres on five.

Mendota picked up another tournament win on Friday. They secured a 37-33 W over Kerman.

Meanwhile, Torres made easy work of Corcoran on Friday and carried off a 55-29 victory. The Toros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Torres' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Mendota, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Mendota barely slipped by Torres in their previous meeting back in November, winning 39-38. Will Mendota repeat their success, or does Torres have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
