Baseball Recap: Mitchell County Comes Up Short

Mitchell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Early County Bobcats, falling 24-3. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Bobcats when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mitchell County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Murray, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Mitchell County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mitchell County has already played their next game, a 29-4 loss against Monroe on the 11th. Hopefully Early County paid attention to the Eagles' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
