A feisty cat fight will be fought as Benson Bobcats challenge Joseph City Wildcats at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Benson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Benson proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Dobson 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Benson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Millie Kellogg, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Karris Taylor also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Joseph City put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Window Rock 12-2. Fans of the Wildcats have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Joseph City's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.9 runs over those games. As for Benson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
