Imperial entered their tilt with Palo Verde Valley on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They enjoyed a cozy 41-27 victory over the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 819th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Imperial found their leader in freshman Elynna Jimenez, who posted 14 points.

Imperial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game.
