Cathedral Catholic won the last time they faced Mira Mesa, and Mckinnley Hanlon did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cathedral Catholic Dons walked away with a 56-45 win over the Mira Mesa Marauders on Tuesday thanks to Hanlon, who posted 26 points along with eight boards and six steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Teresi, who put up nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards she has posted since back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Mira Mesa lost, don't look at Ivorii Seals. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 48.9% of Mira Mesa's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Alyssa Otero was another key player, putting up seven points.

Cathedral Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season. As for Mira Mesa, they dropped their record down to 13-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
