Softball Recap: Covington-Douglas Comes Up Short

Covington-Douglas made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Prue, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Covington-Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Prue, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prue beat Covington-Douglas by a score of 4-0 on Thursday.
