Softball Recap: Syracuse Victorious

While Syracuse put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Varsity Opponent. The Rockets walked away with a 5-0 win over Varsity Opponent. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

The result came thanks to Teagan Starzec's shutout, as she gave up just two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mayson Sprague, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in September of 2024. Kaita Kreifels was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 5-14.

Looking ahead, Syracuse will host Arlington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will face off against Meridian HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
