Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Upper Dauphin Area

Upper Dauphin Area entered their tilt with Susquenita on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Susquenita Blackhawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-40 back in December of 2024.

Upper Dauphin Area's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Reagan Wentzel, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 18 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Wentzel a new career-high in points. Kasey Weibley was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Susquenita still got an impressive performance from Braelyn Prinz, who posted 14 points along with eight boards and five steals. Prinz has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaydon Brandt, who went 5 of 12 en route to 11 points and three steals.

Upper Dauphin Area has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Susquenita, they moved to 12-9 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Millersburg the next time they take the court. Upper Dauphin Area will host Millersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Susquenita will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
