Lutheran North put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 50-7 win over the Avondale Yellowjackets. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 34-13 victory the Yellowjackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Camden Kubik had a dynamite game, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 149 yards and one TD on only 13 passes.

When it comes to explaining why Avondale lost, don't look at Bryan Collins. Despite the final result, he rushed for 138 yards and one score on only 11 carries.

Lutheran North's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Avondale, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lutheran North and Avondale will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs will face off against rival Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Avondale is set to challenge their familiar foe Pontiac at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
