Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Fillmore Central hit Centennial with a five-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Broncos lost 10-3 to the Panthers. The Broncos just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Centennial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lynly Leif, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple was Leif's first of the season.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Fillmore Central, with the victory, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-20.

Looking ahead, Centennial will be playing at home against Cozad at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fillmore Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Milford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
