Preview: Lick-Wilmerding Tigers vs. Saint Mary's Panthers
Lick-Wilmerding has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Saint Mary's Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Lick-Wilmerding came up short against University and fell 58-50. Lick-Wilmerding has not had much luck with University recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Hailey Moy put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Avery Robins, who scored six points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Saint Mary's ended up a good deal behind Salesian College Preparatory on Thursday and lost 57-40. While losing is never fun, Saint Mary's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Salesian College Preparatory is ranked 88th).
Lick-Wilmerding's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Saint Mary's, their loss dropped their record down to 12-14.
