Basketball Recap: Madisyn Robbins Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pioneer

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Liberty Ranch's strategy against Pioneer on Monday. The Liberty Ranch Hawks blew past the Pioneer Patriots 57-31. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Liberty Ranch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madisyn Robbins, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. With that strong performance, Robbins is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Duryee, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds.

Pioneer lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Madison Woltmon, who posted three points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Marissa Bautista, who put up four points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Liberty Ranch and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Liberty Ranch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-41 win against Orestimba on the 11th. As for Pioneer, they will square off against Granite Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
