Recap: Campbell Hall Vikings vs. Birmingham Patriots
The Campbell Hall Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 76-53 defeat at the hands of Birmingham. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Campbell Hall in their matchups with Birmingham: they've now lost three in a row.
Birmingham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Samantha Velasquez led the charge by scoring 19 points along with 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie E. Lopez, who scored 12 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Campbell Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Birmingham, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Campbell Hall will head out on the road to face off against Pilibos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pilibos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday. As for Birmingham, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Alemany at 6:00 p.m.
