Thomson has gone a perfect 5-0 against Laney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Thomson Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Laney Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Thomson's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Laney's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Thomson didn't have quite enough to beat Swainsboro and fell 6-5.

Logan Robinson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Ducey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Laney fell victim to Burke County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 18-0 to the Bears. The loss leaves the Wildcats still looking for their first win of the season.

Thomson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Laney, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Thomson's way against Laney in their previous matchup on March 4th, as Thomson made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thomson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
