Baseball Recap: Joliet Central Takes a Loss

Joliet Central lost to Plainfield South back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Steelmen took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Steelmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gilberto Garcia made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.

Joliet Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Plainfield South, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-13.

While Joliet Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
