Softball Recap: Fort Dodge Finds Home Field Redemption Against Waverly-Shell Rock

There's no place like home for Fort Dodge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. The Dodgers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Go-Hawks, too.

Fort Dodge's win bumped their record up to 27-14. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-9 record.

Looking ahead, Fort Dodge will welcome Western Dubuque on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Dodgers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Waverly-Shell Rock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
