Soccer Recap: Berkmar Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Berkmar was not quite Peachtree Ridge's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Peachtree Ridge Lions by a score of 2-1. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 2-2 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Berkmar's goal came courtesy of Kevin Contreras, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Berkmar and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for Peachtree Ridge, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berkmar will head out to square off against Meadowcreek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peachtree Ridge, they will venture away from home to face off against Brookwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
