While Spring Lake Park put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Irondale. The Panthers blew past the Knights, posting a 35-0 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Knights are ranked 165th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Spring Lake Park has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points this season. As for Irondale, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
