Baseball Recap: Brantley County Takes a Loss

Brantley County and Gordon Lee squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Brantley County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 5-3. The Herons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Brantley County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Brantley County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season. As for Gordon Lee, their victory bumped their record up to 31-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Trojans beat Brantley County by a score of 11-0 on Saturday.
