Soccer Game Preview: Armuchee vs. Fannin County

The Armuchee Indians will head out to take on the Fannin County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Armuchee will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Armuchee took a eight-goal loss the last time they faced off against Gordon Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Indians' defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 1-0 shutout last Friday. That's two games straight that Armuchee have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Fannin County got the win against Christian Heritage on Friday by a conclusive 5-0. The result was nothing new for Fannin County, who have now won four matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Armuchee's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those six games. As for Fannin County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Armuchee might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Fannin County when the teams last played back in February of 2015. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
