Basketball Game Preview: North Tahoe Lakers vs. West Wendover Wolverines

Having just played yesterday, the North Tahoe Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the West Wendover Wolverines at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Tahoe has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while West Wendover will come in with three straight victories.

On Friday, North Tahoe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 35-29 to Battle Mountain. While the Lakers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Longhorns 16-6 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, West Wendover took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-13 win over Incline. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

West Wendover's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for North Tahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

North Tahoe came out on top in a nail-biter against West Wendover when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 41-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Tahoe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
