The Hilton Head Island Seahawks will head out to challenge the May River Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hilton Head Island's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
Hilton Head Island's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave last Friday, when they got past Bishop England's usually-dominant defense. The Seahawks really took it to the Battling Bishops for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-10 victory. The Seahawks pushed the score to 34-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Battling Bishops had little chance of recovering from.

Thaddeus Czarnecki produced another solid performance rushing for 187 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Jayvin Risher also helped out as he racked up 107 rushing yards.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Hilton Head Island proved: they limited Bishop England to a paltry 0.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Will Jimenez for the heroic effort on defense: he. Hilton Head Island didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged eight.
Hilton Head Island didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Risher and Czarnecki. Hilton Head Island got some further help from Jimenez: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles.
Meanwhile, May River entered their tilt with Bishop England on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Battling Bishops by a score of 14-7. The 14-point effort marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Hilton Head Island better keep an eye on Sean Mitchell. He was instrumental in May River's win, rushing for 178 yards and a pair of scores.
Hilton Head Island's record is now 6-1. As for May River, their record now sits at an identical 6-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Hilton Head Island has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 223 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like May River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 328.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Hilton Head Island beat May River 23-10 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seahawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
