Softball Recap: Enid Sets Scoring Season-High Against Putnam City North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Enid). They never let the Putnam City North Panthers get on the board and left with a 27-0 victory on Thursday. The Plainsmen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Enid's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Putnam City North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Enid beat Putnam City North by a score of 14-1 later that day.
