Holden has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lexington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Eagles will head out to square off against the Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. Holden's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Lexington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Holden's pitchers stepped up to hand Summit Christian Academy a 3-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for Holden.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lexington). They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over Braymer on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Minutemen, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kinsley Worthington was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hunter Adkins, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Lexington lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Holden's record now sits at 7-2. As for Lexington, their record is now 8-6.

Everything went Holden's way against Lexington in their previous matchup back in September, as Holden made off with a 13-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
