Buckfield extended their postseason success on Saturday against Penobscot Valley. They never let the Howlers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Bucks are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 21 straight.
Penobscot Valley's batters probably weren't too happy with Carmen Crockett, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 16 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Crockett has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Taylor Harvey and Brittany Carrier did most of the damage at the plate: Harvey went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Carrier went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Carrier's first of the season.
Buckfield pushed their record up to 21-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road.
