Recap: Davis Blue Devils vs. Vacaville Bulldogs
The Davis Blue Devils gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They really took it to Vacaville for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-27 win at home. With Davis ahead 42-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Tessa Schouten, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jiana Trotman, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.
Vacaville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lula Kifle, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Teagan Roser, who scored 6 points.
Davis' victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Vacaville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Davis will look to defend their home court on November 30th against Antelope at 8:00 p.m. As for Vacaville, they will head out on the road to face off against Northgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
