Windber gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Conemaugh Township Indians 52-24. This was payback for the Ramblers, who suffered a 51-36 loss the last time these two teams met.

Windber can attribute much of their success to Kaylie Gaye, who posted 20 points. Payton Roxby was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the defeat, Conemaugh Township had strong showings from Katrina McCann, who scored 11 points and five steals, and Mayce Kordell, who put up six points and seven steals. Kordell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gina Hagan, who had six rebounds and four steals.

Windber wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-47 win against United on the 29th. As for Conemaugh Township, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 44-43 loss against Richland on the 29th.
