Recap: Saint Francis Lancers vs. St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats
The Saint Francis Lancers's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against St. Ignatius College Preparatory by a score of 50-42. This was payback for Saint Francis, who suffered a 53-43 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Maia Jimenez, who scored 21 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sacha Touma, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Saint Francis' win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Saint Francis will face off against Oakland Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Oakland Tech has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 252 points over their last four contests. St. Ignatius College Preparatory won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Redwood at 2:00 p.m. on January 13th. Redwood is coming into the game hot, having won their last 12 games.
