Baseball Recap: Lake Region Takes a Loss

After flying high against Peoples Academy on Friday, Lake Region came back down to earth. The Rangers lost 15-4 to the Spaulding Crimson Tide on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Rangers in their meetings with the Crimson Tide: they've now lost four in a row.

Lake Region's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Spaulding, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Region will welcome Oxbow at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Olympians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.33 runs per game on average), something the Rangers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Spaulding, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thetford Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Crimson Tide's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
