Soccer Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

Mountain View lost against Marshall back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mountain View Vikings fell just short of the Marshall Eagles by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 978th, while the Eagles are ranked 487th).

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-4. As for Marshall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-1-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will square off against El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to take on South El Monte at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
