Football Game Preview: Lincoln Leopards vs. Lakeside Knights

The Lincoln Leopards will head out to challenge the Lakeside Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln has five straight wins, Lakeside has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lincoln played against Rock Hills on Friday and won via forfeit.

Lakeside is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Sylvan-Lucas on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights were beaten by the Mustangs 58-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Lakeside now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln against Lakeside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-6 win. In that matchup, the Leopards amassed a halftime lead of 52-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
