Baseball Recap: Oak Hill Comes Up Short

Oak Hill was the 10-4 winner over Hall-Dale when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-4 on Friday.

Braden New was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Oak Hill's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kieran Stanley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Oak Hill now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hall-Dale, they pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will take on Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hall-Dale, they will face off against Mountain Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
