Soccer Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur fell victim to St. Joseph-Ogden and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, MacArthur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 227th, while St. Joseph-Ogden are ranked 18th).

MacArthur now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against St. Teresa on the 6th. As for St. Joseph-Ogden, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against Meridian/Sangamon Valley/Central A&M on the 6th.
