Basketball Recap: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Shadow Ridge Stallions

San Luis lost against Shadow Ridge back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Luis Sidewinders took a blow against the Shadow Ridge Stallions, falling 50-15. While losing is never fun, the Sidewinders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Stallions are ranked 87th).

Several Sidewinders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Vanessa Ambriz, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmin Estrada, who earned two points and three steals.

Shadow Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danica Lindemann led the charge by going 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points along with five boards and five steals. As for Shadow Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-30 victory against Westwood on the 16th.
