After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coronado, Morse was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hilltop Lancers 9-8.

Alyssa Truby made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched 6.1 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
