Softball Recap: Frederick Falls Short Against Ranked Erie

Frederick faced Erie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles lost 14-1 to the Tigers. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Frederick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Sias, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Erie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Erie wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-1 win against Fairview on the 8th. Hopefully Frederick paid attention to the Tigers' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
