Recap: Blackhawk Cougars vs. Quaker Valley Quakers
The Blackhawk Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Quaker Valley, posting a 65-21 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Blackhawk who now have six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blackhawk to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alena Fusetti, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The match was Fusetti's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Hupp, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Blackhawk pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Quaker Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Blackhawk will head out on the road to face off against Beaver at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Beaver will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Blackhawk is ranked 53rd). As for Quaker Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Valley and Quaker Valley are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
