Softball Game Preview: Clarke Central Gladiators vs. Oglethorpe County Patriots

Clarke Central is 1-9 against Oglethorpe County since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Gladiators will welcome the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

On Thursday, Clarke Central made easy work of Cedar Shoals and carried off an 11-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gladiators.

Meanwhile, Oglethorpe County took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They never let Lincoln County get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Patriots not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16, 2024 (when they won 17-0).

Clarke Central took their win against Oglethorpe County when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 13-4 score. Do the Gladiators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
