Soccer Recap: Etiwanda Triumphs

Etiwanda won the last time they faced Rancho Cucamonga and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Etiwanda Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars 2-1. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Cougars are ranked 77th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Etiwanda is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-2 record this season. As for Rancho Cucamonga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4-2.

Etiwanda will head out on the road to challenge Upland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they will be playing at home against Chino Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
