Softball Recap: Seabreeze's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Seabreeze won the last time they faced St. Augustine and things went their way on Thursday too. The Sandcrabs came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 22-19. The victory was nothing new for the Sandcrabs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Seabreeze got a massive performance out of Chloe Sebastian, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those eight RBI gave Sebastian a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra McLin, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

Seabreeze always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Seabreeze's record now sits at 10-5. As for St. Augustine, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seabreeze will host Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sandcrabs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 13.7 runs per game this season. As for St. Augustine, they will welcome Clay at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
