Basketball Game Preview: Bradshaw Christian The Pride vs. Woodland Wolves

The Bradshaw Christian The Pride will take on the Woodland Wolves in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-19, which was the final score in Bradshaw Christian's tilt against Burbank on Friday.

Despite the loss, Bradshaw Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leah Kubiak posted seven points. The dominant performance gave Kubiak a new career-high in points.

Meanwhile, Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Delta. One positive for the Wolves, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Woodland saw an underclassman step up: freshman Presley Pinegar had 17 points. That was a full 42.5% of Woodland's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Hajab Shabbir was another key player, putting up a point and nine rebounds.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bradshaw Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
