Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Texas' Winning Streak

After flying high against Mt. Pleasant on Friday, Texas came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Whitehouse Wildcats on Tuesday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-16.

Kyleigh Perkins paced Texas' offense, picking up 11 kills. Perkins got some help from Cruz Hopkins and her ten assists.

Texas' defeat dropped their record down to 23-16. As for Whitehouse, they pushed their record up to 30-12 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Texas is set to take on their familiar foe Nacogdoches at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Whitehouse will square off against rival Hallsville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
