Softball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Takes a Loss

Mount de Sales Academy lost against Piedmont Academy back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cavaliers lost 23-2 to the Cougars.

Mount de Sales Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Carlson, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Carlson has brought in this season.

Mount de Sales Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Piedmont Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount de Sales Academy will head out to square off against Tattnall Square Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Piedmont Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Stratford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
