Wheat Ridge came out on top against Jefferson Academy on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 15-run second inning. The Farmers were the clear victors by an 18-3 margin over the Jaguars. The Farmers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win made it two in a row for Wheat Ridge and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Jefferson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
