Soccer Game Preview: Summit Academy vs. Timpanogos

The Summit Academy Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Timpanogos Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Summit Academy has struggled recently with nine losses in a row, while Timpanogos will arrive with three straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Summit Academy's offense. They came up short against Uintah on Tuesday, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, Summit Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Uintah are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Timpanogos' game on Tuesday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Provo.

Timpanogos hit the Bulldogs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Izzy Pierce, Bree Bentley, and Madisyn Searle.

The victory got Timpanogos back to even at 7-7. As for Summit Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Summit Academy suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Timpanogos when the teams last played back in September. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
