Laniah Porter commands the offense for a Cardinals win

Recap: San Bernardino Cardinals vs. Jurupa Valley Jaguars
The San Bernardino Cardinals waltzed into their game Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They took down Jurupa Valley 44-26. Given San Bernardino's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Jurupa Valley is ranked 1229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
San Bernardino got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Laniah Porter out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Porter has scored at least 25% of San Bernardino's points. Another player making a difference was Emonnie Allen, who scored 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
San Bernardino's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Jurupa Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
San Bernardino will head out on the road to face off against Santa Rosa Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jurupa Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Upland at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
